ST2 Rapid Test
The human ST2 gene can be regulated by different promoters to transcribe two ST2 proteins: soluble ST2 (sST2) and transmembrane ST2 (ST2L), ST2 protein is expressed in mast cells, TH2, macrophages, and fibroblasts. sST2 can compete with ST2L for IL-33 binding sites, thereby correlating with cardiomyocyte fibrosis and enlargement processes. The concentration of sST2 in the human body is not interfered with by age, gender, race, kidney function and other factors.
